Before installation
• Confirm the home has reliable internet and a compatible smartphone is available for the family member.
• Review the placement plan before fixing devices in place.
• Follow the instructions supplied with each certified device.
Suggested Starter placement
• Home Hub — central location with reliable connectivity
• SOS Buttons — bedside and bathroom
• Door Sensors — front door and refrigerator
• Activity Sensors — living room and hallway
• Water Leak Sensor — kitchen or bathroom
• Smoke Alarm — appropriate location according to local requirements and product instructions
• Local Siren / Chime — a location where it can be heard
Setup sequence
1. Connect and pair the Home Hub.
2. Add one device at a time in the compatible smart-home app.
3. Name every device by room and purpose.
4. Create only the automations supported by the validated device models.
5. Test each alert on the family member's phone.
6. Test local siren or chime behaviour.
7. Record battery type and installation date.
Important checks
Do not assume an automation works because a device displays a compatibility badge. Nearuly will validate pairing, notification latency, offline behaviour and the priority no-activity scenarios before the final kit is released.
Setup guidance will be updated after P0 sample validation. Always follow the final product instructions and market-specific smoke, gas or CO placement requirements.
